amazon and flipkart are my all time favourite sites but day by day they r going worst by local sellers.. my advice is keep one eye on local sellers and keep one suggestion box option with in the app..

The first was the arrival of data. Thomas Nagle was teaching economics at the University of Chicago in the early 1980s when, he recalls, the university acquired the data from the grocery chain Jewel’s newly installed checkout scanners. “Everyone was thrilled,” says Nagle, now a senior adviser specializing in pricing at Deloitte. “We’d been relying on all these contrived surveys: ‘Given these options at these prices, what would you do?’ But the real world is not a controlled experiment.”

Ebates is one the most reliable rewards/rebates programs out there. I know exactly when I will receive my rebate. Plus, it’s great to get cash instead of points that you have to save up and eventually redeem. Second reason is the number and variety of merchants and ease of using the site. Ebates offers both well- known merchants and newer or smaller companies to choose from.- M.I., College Station, TX

Sticking with well-known stores, or attempting to find independent consumer reviews of their experiences; also ensuring that there is comprehensive contact information on the website before using the service, and noting if the retailer has enrolled in industry oversight programs such as a trust mark or a trust seal.

A couple of months ago, I came to Dallas from out of state and purchased a $200+ rice cooker from KOMart home goods/small appliance store. I explained to the salesperson (young man) that I was from out-of-state, looking to purchase a rice cooker for my mom because hers was causing problems. He sold me a gasket that would fix her problem, but I decided to buy a rice cooker while I was there because finding a large selection of rice cookers in Oklahoma is not so easy. The rice cooker he showed me ticked all my boxes, and he went into detail about the 1 year warranty. After the purchase, he folded the receipt and taped it to the box in a manner where I could not read anything printed on it – especially the fine print. He said I should leave it taped to the box and keep the box so that if I had a warranty issue, it could be addressed. He never mentioned that the receipt warned about a three day return policy. Of course, had I known about the three day return policy, I may have not been so quick to purchase the product. The gasket did fix my mom’s problem, and I never even opened the box for the rice cooker. It sat in my spare room until the next time I had a chance to go to Dallas (military TDYs mostly kept me from going sooner). Granted, it was two months, but the box was in perfect condition. They had three in stock, so it is obviously an item they keep in stock and could easily resell. It is not like it was on sale when I purchased it or at the time I tried to return it… They detached the receipt from the box and just flat refused to refund the item – citing the three day return policy that was on the receipt the salesperson had taped to the box that I could not read. They didn’t offer a store credit, they did not offer to take the item if I paid a restock fee – nothing. All I got was a – “Sorry I didn’t tell you about the return policy. Its just that nobody ever returns these.” Now, I’m stuck with a rice cooker I have no use for.I implore anybody reading this review to not shop at Komart. Not only will I never go back, I will never shop at any of the stores in the same shopping center because business owners tend to locate their businesses with other businesses of like-minded owners. From now on, I will be an H Mart girl. Please, let these business owners know that this type of customer service is unacceptable and give your hard-earned money to people who will stand behind doing the right thing.

“Ethical” and “affordable” often don’t go hand-in-hand, but this site has made it its mission to offer both—in the form of easy-to-wear separates like striped tees and neutral knits. If you’re a fan of Everlane, this one is definitely worth a browse.

Lifestyle centers typically require less land and may generate higher revenue margins, generating close to 500 dollars per square foot, compared to an average of 330 dollars per square foot for a traditional mall, according to the president of Poag and McEwen.[2] Other advantages lifestyle centers have over traditional enclosed malls are savings on heating and cooling and quicker access for customers. Lifestyle centers typically look like strip shopping centers turned outside in, and the formal storefronts don’t face parking areas like in strip centers, but landscaped park-like pedestrian areas, with storefronts facing each other across the pedestrian walkway or a low volume parkingless two-lane road. A two-lane road might go through the inside of the center.[citation needed]

The idea that there was a legitimate “list price,” and that consumers would occasionally be offered a discount on this price—these were the terms of the truce. And the truce remained largely intact up to the turn of the present century. The reigning retail superpower, Walmart, enforced “everyday low prices” that did not shift around.

From Business: Established in 1970.We have been in business for over 30 years. This shop used to be opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because of our big loans and cheap prices. Due to state regulations we are no longer open 24 hours a day. However, we are still open 7 days a week. We have more tools than anyone in the DFW area and man…

This could be seen as the final stage of decay of the old one-price system. What’s replacing it is something that most closely resembles high-frequency trading on Wall Street. Prices are never “set” to begin with in this new world. They can fluctuate hour to hour and even minute to minute—a phenomenon familiar to anyone who has put something in his Amazon cart and been alerted to price changes while it sat there. A website called camelcamelcamel.com even tracks Amazon prices for specific products and alerts consumers when a price drops below a preset threshold. The price history for any given item—Classic Twister, for example—looks almost exactly like a stock chart. And as with financial markets, flash glitches happen. In 2011, Peter A. Lawrence’s The Making of a Fly (paperback edition) was briefly available on Amazon for $23,698,655.93, thanks to an algorithmic price war between two third-party sellers that had run amok. To understand what happened, it seemed sensible to talk to the man who helped develop the software they were using.

After reading some reviews about late delivery of orders, after I had placed an order, I was somewhat nervous. But I received my order Monday morning, after ordering on the Saturday so super quick del…ivery! Only negative aspect was not receiving shipping notification, so I had no idea when to expect the order. See More

As Christmas approached in 2015, the price of pumpkin-pie spice went wild. It didn’t soar, as an economics textbook might suggest. Nor did it crash. It just started vibrating between two quantum states. Amazon’s price for a one-ounce jar was either $4.49 or $8.99, depending on when you looked. Nearly a year later, as Thanksgiving 2016 approached, the price again began whipsawing between two different points, this time $3.36 and $4.69.

A very little thing you hav too do is read the terms before u purchase and follow the policy conditions…and just drop a mail or fill a form to exchange or return and your problem will be resolved soon if it is with in the criteria…..

I purchased this sandal at a store on a clearance table ( not overstock) it is cute very ,comfortable, but the stitching is very low quality ( and I did notice it when I bought them, but got them very reasonable) looks and feels as if it could fall apart any time. I would buy another pair only if the stitching was better quality and only if I could see them. in person. I would not pay the going price if I could not see them first. too bad really, they could have a great product in this sandal.

By the 1980s and into the ’90s, malls had vanquished Main Street and colonized pop culture. They became grist for board games (Mall Madness), TV game shows (Shop ‘Til You Drop) and concert tours. (Tiffany’s 1987 mall road show helped the teen star reach No. 1 on the pop charts; Britney Spears replicated the strategy a decade later.) Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the seminal 1982 film about high school life, set much of its angsty action inside Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks Galleria. Seven years later, the time-traveling slackers in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure brought Joan of Arc, Abraham Lincoln, Genghis Khan and other historical icons to hang out at their local mall. Because where else would you go in suburban California in 1989?

“It’s tough,” says Reinert, 27, who’s worked for FYE off and on since he was 16. “This used to be a safe space where young people weren’t getting into trouble. But kids don’t hang out here on the weekend. Because there’s nothing here.”
